• Defending healthcare organizations, doctors and nurses against claims of medical malpractice, negligence, and wrongful death.
• Conducting all aspects of discovery including depositions, requests for production of documents and requests for interrogatories.
• Identifying and interviewing key witnesses, documents and policies.
• Researching and drafting legal memoranda, briefs and pleadings.

• Defending state officials and employees in Superior Court jury-waived trials.
• Representing state defendants before federal and state courts and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
• Filing petitions on behalf of the Commissioner of Correction to obtain court orders to treat inmates who refused necessary medical treatment.
• Analyzing and responding to requests pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act.
• Serving as In-house counsel on a wide variety of issues for state correctional facilities.
